- Very Disappointing I bought this door nob, as it appeared to be the best replacement and match with the existing ones on the ground floor. The problem is the the spindle is a non standard size. So, I had to replace the existing mortice latch. Again, as the spindle was non standard, I had to go to my local locksmith to obtain a suitable mortice latch. So, the whole process was time consuming and more expensive than anticipated.

The door knobs are available with two different mechanisms:
- Sprung – the knob will withdraw automatically when turned
- Unsprung – the knob will turn freely without any spring-back action.
Unsprung mortice doork knobs will need a heavy-duty latch or lock mechanism.
